What happens if you wear contact lenses after the expiry date?

I have these red contacts that I have not worn or still open, because I only they want to use for cosplay purposes. It takes 90 days (2 months). I'm just curious what happens if you wear contact lenses after the expiry date. Will it irritate the eye? Can you damage your eyes? Thanks:) Sorry I meant 3 months hehe ^ ^ V

Hey expirery The date happened when they were opened, so the 90-day countdown begins when you actually open the package! And the 90 days is valid for 90 days of the opening was not 90 carries.
