How would I go about adding my blinking lights to an outfit / costume?
Hello, I have a costume of Miku Hatsune. Reference: http://www.wired.com/images/article/magazine/1603/st_jsgw_f.jpg I plan on adding flashing lights on the boot of the costume, but with stockings and shoes in place of the super long boots. Anyway, I'm with the aim to light it cosplayers here is: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1825355/ anyone have any suggestions, to use what kind of light that the tiny size, but lighting up? How would I go about fixing me, the costume? And not everyone knows where to buy some light? Thank you in advance, and all tips are welcome! (:
EL lights or EL wire is the way to go. The actual name of the stuff is "Electro Luminous "wire. It is basically a long, very thin, light bulb made in crazy colors. They are easy to operate easily, and have an incredible flexibility. This is the stuff that the "Stickman" at Burning Man costumes are made. I am using EL wire on a vest that I wear while biking in the dark. I temporarily fixed it by threading it through safety pins on my vest.
