Who should I cosplay as?

So I will this summer MetroCon (largest anime convention in Florida) and I need a character as cosplay. I'm African-American with short black shoulder-length hair (but that may change if necessary). I also work with a limited budget (if you know what I mean, lol). I know there are not too many (if any) black anime girl characters, but at this point I'm nobody! Thanks! Even Kagome and Sakura have already been exceeded from the list .... everyone goes as them lol
