Places to buy cheap cosplay costumes?
OK, (: So in January comes around Ohayo con and I have so many ideas for cosplays. Lara Croft. Meg (Burst Angel) Mikuru Asahina TenTen But my problems is that really expensive. I live in Ohio. Know of any places I could look? For substance? or the actual costume? In totally okay with sewing my own. But a pattern would be nice. I only go to 17 weeks.): Help! by cheap I mean, as under $ 70 Ill be spending around $ 70 for each costume.
I have the same problem. What I did was made my own. I went and saw a company called Simplicity. You can send Patterns can be found in almost every Walmart. Just go and look and see if you find something that looks like a close, what you want. I went as Amu from Shugo Chara last year and what I did, my skirt (after buying the substance was the most expensive thing I had to buy) and with a simple skirt pattern. Then I just went to my goodwill, the road up and they encamped for a few weeks looking for a good over and under a shirt and shoes that were in the vicinity. I've got a tie from Walmart and boom! there you go. I have the same thing when I went as a few years ago (my frist Kagome cosplay attempt ... not too good) but I caught a break. My father is retired Navy, I did so only to give me a replacement naval uniform top and I covered it and made my skirt. Unfortunately, the prices are so high, and I agree. It sucks. But this is the best Way I was.
