My cosplay idea = good .. or no?

Okay, so I for one anime con I'm cosplaying as Misato from Nana. For those who do not know each other, they change their outfits often repeated, outfits, etc. It is very realistic that aspect. Well, I'm kind of down on cash and do not know how to sew, so I can not someone Custom Commission, it was (mother against it anyway) .. So I went for clothes she would wear. As in, it is not an exact outfit she wore an outfit, but you could see she was wearing. I even some things they were before. You could see this as an original (because their own wardrobe of clothes that you maybe never seen her wear), but another may see it as lame and lethargic? ... My question is: What do you consider? Do you think it is a problem?
