Anime Cosplay ideas for girls?

My friend and I are the Anime Expo in London in May and would like a sign that as we go look (vaguely). I have long dark brown hair, brown eyes and my friend has very short blonde hair and blue eyes. We want to go as something in the same animes or mangas. Any ideas Apart from Naruto. Thanks for you help!

if you want to go to something new that hasn't death was not yet done so, check out Wagaya no Oinari-sama, the one recently published series, which would be available on fansub) for someone long (and dark) Haired, I Kou, the Sentinel-priestess, and for your friend, the role of Tenko Kuugen, the fox ghost suggest that protects Takagami brothers in the series. So far, the series has three episodes so its easy to catch with. Remember as the series currently fansubbed, please adjust the distribution of the series when it has been domestically liscened. (another interesting factor is that Kuugen also has a male Form, so that an interesting idea for a male friend cosplay as the male aspect of kuugen would be just as good)
